Availability
This schedule is available to any member located within the territory served by NineStar Connect with transformer capacity requirements exceeding 50 kVA, the electrical energy furnished is metered on the primary side of the service transformers at NineStar Connect’s option, and NineStar Connect owns the service transformers.
Application
This schedule is applicable to all electric service required for lighting, power, and any other purpose requiring less than 1,000 kVA installed transformer capacity for which no other specific rate schedule is applicable.
Character of Service
Service under this schedule shall be single phase or multi-phase at NineStar Connect’s available standard voltages. All service required on the premises by the customer will be supplied through one meter. Standby or resale service is not permitted hereunder.
Monthly Rate

Determination of Billing Demand:
The billing demand for any month shall be the maximum kilowatt demand established by the member for any period of fifteen (15) consecutive minutes during the month for which the bill is rendered. The demand shall be as indicated or recorded by suitable recording instruments provided by NineStar Connect and adjusted for power factor as provided below.
Power Factor:
The member agrees to maintain unity power factor as nearly as practical. NineStar Connect reserves the right to measure such power factor at any time. Should such measurements indicate that the power factor is less than ninety percent (90%), then the demand for billing purposes will be adjusted for average monthly lagging power factor by multiplying the demand as indicated or recorded on the demand meter by ninety percent (90%) and divided by the percent power factor.
Monthly Minimum Charge
The monthly minimum charge under this rate schedule shall be the customer charge plus any demand charge.
Purchased Power Cost Adjustment:
The amount computed at the above monthly rate shall be adjusted plus or minus by an amount calculated in accordance with the formula specified in NineStar Connect’s Purchased Power Cost Adjustment Clause (Appendix A), which is a part of the “Monthly Rate” of this rate schedule.
Tax Adjustment:
The amount computed at the above monthly rate as adjusted by the application of the purchased power cost adjustment clause shall be subject to taxes, assessments, and surcharges imposed by any governmental authority.
