If you are required to make a deposit, you will receive a credit on your bill after 12 months of consecutive on-time payments. If you move off the CIP system before the 12 months the deposit will be applied to your final bill.
New construction $500 new service fee plus other possible costs.
New construction or service to existing location. A credit history is performed through Experian and there could possibly be a deposit of either $100 or $250 required.
Besides cash and personal checks, Central Indiana Power accepts Visa, MasterCard and Discover credit cards. With a credit card, members can pay in person, over the phone or online.

What is required to get power connected to my home?
If you are building a new home, you need to contact our office and complete an application for new service and speak with our Engineering Department to see what is neede to get power to your location. In addition to a $500 new service fee, there could be other costs involved.
If you are moving into an existing location, you can contact our office to complete a membership application.
