2018 Cooperative Service Day

Cooperative Service Day – October 12, 2018

Again this year, NineStar Connect is excited to offer you and your community organization a unique opportunity to work with the employees of NineStar to have a major impact on the community we both serve.

NineStar Connect is a cooperative meaning that we are owned by the customers we serve – which in NineStar’s case is the citizens of our community.  As a cooperative, concern for the community is one of our core principles.

In 2014, the Indiana Statewide Association of Rural Electric Cooperatives sponsored the first “Cooperative Service Day” across Indiana and encouraged all cooperatives across the State of Indiana to participate in a day of community service.     Last year, NineStar and its employees spent the day in the community working with 9 different non-profit organizations on projects that seemed too large or may have been put off because of lack of human or financial resources.

We are reaching out to the community again this year.   To that end, if your organization has a project or knows of a potential project, we are asking you to complete an APPLICATION by Friday, August 11th for your project to be considered.    Please return the completed application and any other documentation to NineStar Connect, ATTN: Darrin Couch, 2243 E Main St., Greenfield, IN 46140.  An internal employee committee will review all submitted proposals and select one or more projects for participation.
